CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Basak is a highly-experienced Clinical Psychologist. For almost 20 years, she has been working with people who experience severe anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and school/work challenges.
When Basak realised that some of her clients’ challenges stemmed from neurodiversity, she focused on learning how to best support them. Now she provides strengths-based approaches to neurodiverse adults. And also creates awareness among families and professionals. She is a parent of a neurodiverse individual and is also herself neurodiverse, so her commitment is both professional and personal.
THERAPIES
She practises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, helping clients change their negative beliefs and thinking patterns as well as reduce unwanted behaviours. Basak integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).
