We offer a free 15 minutes call with one of ours clinical directors. After talking to you and listening to your present concerns, they will match your difficulties to the most suitable therapist and therapy approach on the basis of your clinical goals and needs.
Does Neu work with international clients?
Yes We offer sessions to clients outside of the UK.
Why should I see a therapist?

What happens in the first appointment?
In the first session you will get to meet your therapist and you might discuss the type of therapy they practice.i: Your therapist will need to know why you’re seeking therapy. They may ask what kinds of needs or issues you’d like to address in your treatment together as well as how you have managed your mental health in the past. If you feel that you are a good match, you can agree on the goals of your work together. They will also go through all the practical information you need to know about how the sessions will work.
How many appointments will it take to make me feel better?
Change and progress differs greatly depending on your difficulties. Some modalities are more short-term. Other modalities are longer term as they address long standing patterns that have been developed in early life. As a rough guideline, short term therapy can be considered to be between 8-12 sessions and is mainly focused on symptom relief. Medium to longer term therapy is between six months to two years and is aimed at addressing the underlying causes of your issues.
I’m not sure if therapy is for me, should I book?
Therapy can be a great help to your mental wellbeing. Having an initial session will give you a sense as to whether therapy could help and if the therapist you have been matched to is the right fit for you. And if you are not happy with our suggestion, we will offer you a different therapist.
Is everything I talk about confidential?
Yes, everything you talk about is confidential. Your therapist is required to maintain confidentiality about everything said in sessions between the two of youThe only exceptions would be if you are a serious risk to yourself or others. Only in this case your therapist may contact your your GP or other healthcare professionals involved in your care. However,This will always be discussed with you first.
you can always talk with your therapist if you have questions about the confidentiality agreement between the two of you during your sessions.
Does my GP have to be informed?
We don’t communicate with anyone about your care unless you give us permission. It is good practice to have the details of your GP in case we need to contact them. If you are concerned You can discuss it during your initial session. We will respect your decision and your confidentiality.
How much does a session cost?
The cost may vary depending on the type of therapy you choose and the experience of the therapist you are seeing. Sessions with practice therapists cost between £100 to £130 for individual sessions and £140 to £170 for couple sessions. Sessions with consultant therapists cost between £140 to £180 for individual sessions and between £180 to £250 for couple sessions.
How often should I attend therapy?
It's common for sessions to be held once a week, but you may also agree to see your therapist more or less, depending on your goals and the treatment plan agreed with your therapist. If money or time is a concern, your therapist may agree to see you once every other week instead of every week.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel or reschedule your session but you need to give your therapist a week’s notice otherwise you will be expected to pay for your missed session.
Can I be reimbursed by my insurance?
Neu cannot confirm whether or not you’re covered to see our various therapists. You need to check directly with your health provider for details of what you are covered for under your own specific policy.
