James's favourite thing to do is take his dog, Cozmo, for long walks in the forest. He loves tennis, swimming in the sea, climbing big rocks, and ten-pin bowling with friends.
ames is a Clinical Psychologist, helping adults for over 15 years. While working as a Health Psychologist, James developed a passion for teaching patients the fundamental link between physical and mental health. Following his NHS tenure, he’s now in private practice using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
James is warm, compassionate, and considered. With curiosity and collaboration, he helps clients develop self compassion and overcome emotional barriers in order to move towards what matters most to them.
James advocates that psychedelic-assisted therapy is the next frontier in psychological therapy. Having undergone his own transformative breakthrough experiences with psychedelic medicine, James has become a trained facilitator, skilled in comprehensive preparation and integration methods as well as the journey itself.
He uses Mindfulness and ACT techniques to help participants lean into the more challenging aspects of psychedelic experience, so that they are open to receive greater understandings of their mind and the material they need to work through.
